A farther of a student reported about the live and clothes of a medieval knight. Every year he participates with some friends in the Kaltenberg knight games, so it was easy for him to eyplain all details. The students had the possibility to try out the heavy equipment.
At the end of the school year we celebrated the good results of the students, who are leaving our school now. We are very content with and proud of them.
On 12th and 13th of July Darek Targosz visited our school, to show us this kind of sports. He ist the organisational director of WTHA (World Tablehockey Assosiation). Using four tables during a complete morning the students had the possibility to try it out and make some exercises, before 32 of them could participate in a real tournament on Friday. First tablehockey master is now Simon Kohlhund. He was allowed to play the last game angainst the teacher from Poland<
Our bees developed very well. So one population could be divided into two. Now they have to learn to construct in a better way. At the moment most of them have built their honeycombs using the free space instead of the frames. The activity was again a good opportunity to get rid of prejudices and fears. The fresh honey was so inviting. Soon all children stood in the midde of the flying bees totally relaxed. They dared to touch male bees or to feed female ones with their fingers
The history of Landsberg is connected to the salt. According to the 850th anniversary of the town there is an exhibition about this topic in the town museum and students can participate in a workshop. Our students of form 5 and 6 could build pipes for salty water, become a boiling master or feel as a salt tradesman. Besides that they learnt a lot about of the Schlossberg (castle hill), where our school is situated and about Landsberg during medieval times.
Cooking with professionals, that was on the shedule for students of form 8 again in June 2012. Together with grown-ups, who are preparing to become masters of domestic economy, they prepared healthy snacks, to sell them during the lunch breaks to other students. It was a great experience for all participants, for the adults, to learn, how a project has to to be organized, and how to work with children, and for the students, to learn about the different ways of approaching to the elder’s profession and to share their techniques.
It was a completely different kind of report, what students of class 5a did. They visited the horse farm of one of their class mates, where they learned a lot about horses and dunkeys and had the possibility to ride on horseback and make a trip in a coach drawn by two heavy cold-blooded animals. It was an exiting day out.
In June 2012 the 8th formers visited Rational one of the biggest employers of Landsberg with technical contents. A former student of our school explaned, what he had to do during his apprenticeship. It was a good oportunity to learn about processes in production and maybe to find an idea for a later profession.
They have collected more than 700 Euro for the BUND (an association for protecting nature). As a present the whole class 5a is now invited to spend some days in the hostel Wartaweil. Congratulations!
From the very beginning it was a strange feeling. It was cruel to image, that 14000 prisoners had died there during the construction. First of all Warrant Officer Class Müllershowed us a very interesting and informal one hour lasting presentation about the place. The facts were astounding. The bunker was built 26 meter high. Our guide told us, that the men and women had been tortured to death. We were absolutely speekless, when we saw a part of a film about the time after world war II, when the Landsbergians had to evacuate the camps around Landsberg and burry the deads. It is hard to describe our feeling, when we heard about the inhuman condition of the victims standing on the place of their suffering seeing the high ceilings and the stonewalls . I think it was very important for us to make this experience.

The students of form 6 learnt in a near to reality lesson about the problems caused by the blind spot. With the help of maps and the mirrow of a lorry the phenomen was demonstrated in the classroom. Afterwards all students were allowed to enter the lorry of the juniors traffic school, where they could find out the problems of view for the driver and the danger for other traffic partners caused by them. Be careful! If you can’t get eye contact with the driver or if you are not sure, that he/she has recognized you, leave the dangerous area immediately
On Friday, 15.6. all class representatives, project partners, and representatives of the local authorities were invited to gaze at the results of one year of activity. More information here (unfortunately only in German)
The students of form 5 and 6 followed the guest performance of the Theatre Moussong with enthusiasm. They saw the fairy tale “The little Muck” by Wilhelm Hauff. During Mr Muck was telling, the shelfs of an old bazar changed into scenes of his life.
Dear classmates, parents and other visitors of our website,
we are sure, that you will find lots of no longer used mobile phones, if you look for them at home. These things sohuld never to end up on the scrapheap or a incineration plant. The students parliament partcipates in a campain withe the aim to collect as many moble phones as possible. It is not only a good oportunity to get rid of all this old stuff but also a possibilty to support our struggle to be one of the best collectors and maybe win a price for that for other school activities. We are glad to receive your sendings till 25th of July 2012

A concerted action took place in Mai. Students of the Mittelschule am Schlossberg and from the technical University of Munich filled more then 300 sacks with top soil and sowed sunflowers and maize. Thanks to all helpers, especially to the students who spent their holiday time with working.
After some weeks of busy working a hotel for insects has been completed und placed ina corner on the school ground. Many thanks to our helper in artificial and technical work Mr. Fritz Weiß. He is a member of the Landsbund fuer Vogelschutz LBV (an association for the protection of birds).
On Monday, May 21st 2012 the pupils of the eighth classes had nothing to laugh about. The visit to the concentraion Camp Dachau was a depressing experience. The teacher of the Gymnasium Dachau who guided us through the camp, narrated impressively about the “life” in the camp and the torture of the inhabitants. On the tour the kids could learn a lot. Though, nobody will remember it as a beautiful experience.
