Final Meeting in Landsberg 22.7.-27.7.2011

For the last project meeting all partners met in Landsberg in July 2011.
During the meeting we evaluated our work and discussed the final report.
We visited the Ruethenfest, a big festival, where children remind of Landsberg’s history. During a trip to the south, it was the possibility to join culture and nature, seeing the kings castle in Neuschwanstein, the mountains, making a boat trip on the Forggensee, visiting the Wieskirche and an electrical generation station. One day was reserved for meetings at school, a sightseeing tour in Landsberg, an address of welcome by the mayor of the town, a visit in the towns museum and an organ concert. On Tuesday all participants went to Munich for a sightseeing tour and shopping. It was again a great experience for us all to meet each others and we all hope meet again sometime, somehow, somewhere…

Art project ‘I love you-I hate you’

At the end of our art project 2011 of all 8- formers accompanied by the art pedagogic Andreas Goetz the students presented their works in the theatre of Landsberg on the 20th of May. Solemnly dressed related to the reason they showed some sketches to introduce the subject- matter, before the told about their works. They had dealed with interpersonal situations and had realised their thought in pictures and texts.

Comenius night (or evening) at school 13.5.2011

On Friday all partners spent some time in the evening or some of them even during the whole night at school playing games, dancing, singing, playing theatre, watching films a.s.o. It was also the opportunity to do skype conferences between the different countries. Also a change to see, if all participants did good work by solving the quiz about town and school of their other partners.

Serial

During the project meeting in Velka Bystrice, we agreed on writing a serial. Every partner started a story (first chapter). Afterwards it was sent to the next partner in alphabetic order. So after several changes six chapters of the stories were written. The seventh partner finally had to illustrate the story. The parts of the story were transferred in two versions: mother tongue and English.

Meeting in Siauliai Lithuania March 2011

From the 17th to the 22d of March all partners met in Siauliai, Lithuania

During the meeting the final discussion about the illustration of the serials and the cook book took place. According to that topic students prepared the national dish “Cepelinai” for the whole group. It was the possibility not only to meet our Lithuanian partner school, but also some other institutions, which are cooperating with it. We participated in excursion to the capital Vilnius, to Trakai, to the monastery and the winter garden in Kretinga, the amber museum in Palanga and the oldest barn of Lithuania in the Kurtuvenai regional park. It was exciting for all to see the Baltic Sea. For the most of us it was the first time to scramble over the last remaining of ice and snow at the beach. Especially for all our southern partners it was amazing to see and feel real snow. The meeting was again a wonderful experience for all of us. Our Polish friends at least were so impressed about the situation, that they spent another night in Riga. The truth: They had to stay there, because their flight had been cancelled. To say goodbye to each others has become harder and harder.

Comenius Project work March 2011

In the week from 28.2. till 4.3.2011 about one half of the 7-formes were on skiing course. All others worked on our Comenius project. They collected informations about our partner countries and made posters about them. They worked very engaged for the presentation at the 4th of march. All other classes could see the results of heir work, try special dishes of the different countries and participate in a quiz.

Carnival in Landsberg 3.3.2011

More than 100 students of our school participated in the carnival parade of the schools in Landsberg with a collective theme “Karneval venezianisch” (Venetian Carnival ). The 8- formers dealed with their art project, a part of the 7- formers had a skiing or snowboarding course this week. The other part dealed with our Comenius project. Only two classed prefered to have normal lessons on the so called “Lumpiger Donnerstag” (Paltry Thursday).

Cooking with professionals
